Singer/Rapper Teyana Taylor was chosen to be the face of Married To The MOB's "Smell Like Teen Spirit" collection (shot by Brooke Niper) and I think it [already] goes without saying as to how I feel about Teyana. She's an absolute favorite of mine and what I find interesting is how she manages to stay relevant without having put an album out. Obviously, opportunities like this make that a possibility but, still, her debut album (From A Planet Called Harlem) should've been here by now! Here's to hoping it sees the light of day here shortly but, in the meantime, ladies be sure to check for MOB apparel courtesy of their website.

Soulja Boy Gets His Own Shoe

It looks like Soulja Boy will join the likes of Missy Elliott, Hurricane Chris, and so many other rappers who have their own shoe; but unlike those that I named, Soulja Boy has opted not to sign with a major shoe company. Instead, his shoe will be distributed from a small company out of Dallas called Yum and will [reportedly] run for about $85. In addition, each shoe will come with a Yum mixtape and be featured in solid and two toned colors.

Personally, I think this is a real good look for Soulja Boy and I respect his decision to not go with a major shoe company. While still expensive, his shoes are reasonably priced and will help bring exposure to this small company; quite possibly turning them into a major corporation. All that remains to be seen, however, but you can't deny that Soulja Boy has made out pretty well for himself since exploding on the scene. He may not be the saving grace for Hip-Hop, but his mentality is Hip-Hop through and through. Anyway, check out his sneakers below and let me know what you think.

Marvel & New Era To Join Forces

I'm not the biggest comic book fan in the world but I think this is pretty neat. Hats don't really do much for me, but I like the design of this one though. Iron Man has been a monster at the box office recently so to see Marvel try to capitalize in other markets was a no brainer. New Era has established themselves as the leading line of fitted hats so I'm quite anxious to see more from this Marvel/New Era joint venture because more is sure to come.
