How many people actually believed in Team USA after what happened in '04? I, myself, didn't but am proud nonetheless, as Team USA managed to get it done with a 118-107 victory over Spain. Closer than the score indicated, Spain put up quite a fight and gave the U.S. their toughest test in these Olympic games; but it was the MVP Kobe Bryant who helped seal the deal. Not to be outdone, the [whole] team rallied and put forth a collective effort that was commendable and I'm quite sure there's no sweeter taste than that of redemption. Without question, Team USA is back, but we still have a long road back to dominance. The rest of the world is catching up and the only way to keep pace is to prove otherwise every four years.
