Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Nas doesn't have the balls to stand on his shit but my thing is, if you're going to hype this thing up, you gotta deliver. It makes Nas look stupid for all his little promotional antics (i.e., wearing black t-shirts branded with the "N" word, magazine interviews discussing the album) but far be it from me to have an opinion. I just feel that the magnitude of an album with such a title would be more impactful on us as a people and while it WOULD bring quite a bit of backlash/uproar, I think the silver lining would've forced us to look in the mirror and discuss racism (both ways) more openly. It just goes to show that politics truly runs this country and sadly, this "money over bullshit" credence we've adopted seems to win out every single time.

Continuing on. I’d like to see how it looks when we do a pull-quote from
whatever interview we are talking about. Something to engage the viewers.

politics ALWAYS wins bro, you know that. Besides, Walmart, Target, and more family oriented mega-stores wouldn't have carried it anyway. He wants to make SOME money I guess, even though we haven't had a Nas album in over 2 years. And Hip Hop is dead didn't even go platinum so it might have all been a publicity trick. Who knows?
