As much as Tha' Carter III was anticipated, never did I imagine Wayne going platinum in a week. If anything, I expected him to go gold, at best, but shout out to Wayne for doing his thing. Officially, he sold around 1,000,545 copies and secured himself a number one album in the process but, still, this is quite an accomplishment for Wayne. I don't think he's ever had a number one album and for his career to come full circle like this has got to be the [proverbial] icing on the cake. Now that...that's what I call bittersweet. Wouldn't you agree?
