NBA: Conference Finals Predictions: Detroit Pistons Vs. Boston Celtics/San Antonio Spurs Vs. Los Angelas Lakers

Eastern Conference Finals
It's been a long road for the Boston Celtics and it's no question that they have been "battle tested". No one would've believed that the Atlanta Hawks would take them to a game 7 and after defeating the Cavaliers in one just the other day, it seems like this Celtic team is finally starting to gel. That being said, their inability to win on the road will catch up to them here because the Pistons are a much more experienced team. Detroit knows how to win and the fact that their back in that underdog role (a' la the year they won the championship), I see Detroit winning this series in 6.

Western Conference Finals
I think it's pretty obvious, for those who know me, that I hate the Los Angelas Lakers with a passion. More importantly, I hate Kobe Bryant. He didn't deserve the MVP over Chris Paul and although his team is still playing, I'll always maintain that an injustice was served. Anyway, as much as I wanted the Hornets to be here, I kind of felt that the Spurs would be a tougher match up for L.A., but only time will tell. Bruce Bowen will play a huge role in this series guarding Kobe so if he can limit Kobe's free throw attempts and getting into the lane then I think the Spurs will have a good chance to win this series. Still, everything comes down to defense and the Spurs do just that. While good, the Lakers are still young and aren't great on defense so I just can't see them advancing. Besides, the Spurs look rejuvenated and anybody who bets against them is just stupid. Point. Blank. Period. Spurs in 7.
