After much analysis/debate, the hometown kid Derrick Rose was selected by the Chicago Bulls as the No. 1 pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. Quite frankly, I think the Bulls made the best decision for their team, but now will be faced with the decision of having to move either Ben Gordon or Kirk Hinrich.Either way, the Bulls will have a good team to build around Rose, but this project will take some time. Remember, Derrick is only 19 and needs time to mature so patience will be key. He'll figure things out in due time and flourish as a prolific scorer, but my only concern is whether or not Vinny Del Negro is the right guy for the head coaching position. I guess that remains to be seen but, for now, Chicago has another new, heir apparent to the throne and his name is Derrick Rose.
